The following steps will explain how to install an under-sink reverse osmosis water filtration system in order to eliminate any toxins from your drinking water.
Step one: Start by preparing the project where you will determine the location of the water filtration system and when the spout will be mounted. Then be sure to remove any items underneath the sink. Shut off the main water supply.
Step two: Secure the valves. A saddle valve has a rubber seal in order to stop leaks along a hollow needle and then feed a two inch bolt through the valve into the back plate. Make sure the notch in the front and back are aligned to guarantee the valve is squeezed tightly against the pipe. Then place the valve around the pipe with the nozzle pointing downward and thread another bolt into the back plate.
Step three: Attach the drain line by unscrewing the bottom section of a P-trap and the disposal drain connection. Take the drain line adapter and mark the length required for the disposal drain connection. Then connect the drain line adaptor with the main drain line before reconnecting all the joints.
Step four: Install the filter tap by placing the base on the threaded stem before attaching it to the top of the sink. Then place the large gasket under the sink surface on the stem. Finally, attach the space and the mounting plate before inserting the washer.
Step five: Measure the mounting holes.
Step six: Hang the filter system off the mounting washers.
Step seven: Attach the tubing to the barb fitting on the end of the top and then attach the tubing adaptor to the end of the tap stud.
Step eight: Purge the system by checking for leaks after turning on the cold water supply.
